Universe Institute is an all-volunteer non-profit organization with no paid staff. This is rare and unheard of in an era when some executive directors of nonprofit organizations have million-dollar salaries.
Our volunteers are a diverse group of independent individuals, including professors, scientists, and researchers. They volunteer because they are passionate about contributing their skills and knowledge to addressing the world's most pressing and dangerous crises before it is too late for them, their families, and humanity.
Some of the world's best professors, scientists, and researchers anonymously or openly volunteer their skills, research, analysis, and perspectives to help us create the uncensored and unpoliticized analysis, timetables, and solutions found on our website.
The professors, scientists, and researchers who contribute anonymously do so because of destructive attacks on science and scientists who are willing to speak or publish on difficult subject areas with political implications, without censorship. Recently, scientists have faced repercussions for speaking out, including the removal of tenure and funding, doxing, and frivolous lawsuits. More and more, those who dare to present the uncensored scientific facts face unwarranted harassment and reputational attacks.
For example, climate scientists like James Hansen (formerly of NASA) have experienced decades of unwarranted actions to ruin his reputation, defund his research, cut off his public speaking events, and harass him in numerous other legal and illegal ways. This was done because he strongly warned (and continues to warn) the public about the scientifically proven dangers of mass human extinction caused by the current accelerating climate change emergency.
Not all climate change professors, scientists, and researchers are as brave as Hansen. Consequently, they do their critical work anonymously, helping the Universe Institute.
Due to this growing harassment and punishment of professors, scientists, researchers, activists, volunteers, and staff working at science research and think tank-type organizations, we will not release or publish the names or contact information of our research and analysis team, our staff, or our volunteers unless they have expressly permitted us to do so.

Our Management Team
Lawrence Wollersheim is a part of the administrative management team. He is also a DMAP (dialectical metasystemic analysis and problem-solving) methodology teacher for the Universe Institute staff.
Since its inception in 2011, Lawrence Wollersheim has been part of the Universe Institute. In addition to his senior DMAP analyst duties, he oversees all aspects of the organization's mission.
Lawrence is skilled in system theory, as well as the dialectical metasystemic analysis and problem-solving (DMAP methodology) of complex adaptive systems. These skills are utilized in the research and analysis of numerous studies across various specialty areas. The DMAP methodology seeks out new or overlooked omissions, errors, and patterns that may not be readily apparent unless one uses DMAP to examine data horizontally across multiple research studies encompassing all related systems and subsystems.
Since its inception in 2008, Lawrence Wollersheim has also been the Executive Director of Job One for Humanity. He oversees all aspects of the organization's mission, including the analysis of research on global warming. He brings thirty years of experience in successful social advocacy and social advocacy litigation.
Lawrence was a co-founder and board member, now on the board of advisors at Climatesafe Villages (CSV), educating about climate change preparedness, adaptability, and resilience building for homes, businesses, farms, and communities. CSV is also helping individuals build new climate change-resilient urban, rural, and virtual communities. (www.ClimateSafeVillages.org)
Lawrence is also an experienced board member of a nonprofit organization. Lawrence has been a continuous board member of the 33-year-old nonprofit organization Factnet Inc. since its inception in 1993.
With a 40-year background in day-to-day business operations and information technology, Lawrence has extensive experience that he can draw upon for his work in the non-profit, for-profit, research, and social advocacy sectors.
Lawrence Wollersheim is a polymath and autodidact. He also has dyslexia, which he credits with helping him to keep a sense of humor and humility in his personal life and his creative and social advocacy work.

Other Management and Research Experience
Lawrence Wollersheim is also a director of Universe Spirit (www.UniverseSpirit.org). This organization has helped give birth to the new Universe Evolutionary Worldview, new principles of Sustainable Prosperity, Universe Citizenship, and other Evolutioneer social action programs, such as Evolution Spirituality, an open-source, meta-spirituality grounded solidly in the sciences and the principles of universe evolution.
Since 2002, Lawrence has also served as the Executive Director for all operational aspects of Universe Spirit's Universe Evolutionary Worldview research, educational activities, publishing, web operations, and related marketing.
Since 1983, as a significant part of his life’s passion, Lawrence has been continuously studying, experiencing, and being committed to forwarding the balanced relationship of science and healthy personal spirituality, particularly as it relates to evolutionary science and the personal direct spiritual experience of Ultimate Reality found within both science's discoveries and the discoveries of the world’s great eastern and western spiritual traditions.
Over the years, he has written extensively about unhealthy spiritual practices.
Lawrence Wollersheim's Additional Background and Experience
Lawrence was mentored by and one of the few protégés of Dr. Margaret Singer, Professor Emeritus at UC Berkeley for several decades. Before her passing, Dr. Singer was the world’s leading authority on mind control, destructive religious practices, and destructive cults. She published over 160 papers and was also one of the original co-founders of Factnet in 1993.
Since 1993, Lawrence has also been a managing board director at FactNet Inc. (www.factnet.org), a nonprofit educational organization. Over 30 years, both before and during his tenure at FactNet and Job One for Humanity, Lawrence was involved in a series of 5 lawsuits against the infamous Scientology cult. His litigation success in all 5 of these lawsuits against Scientology established important new legal precedents on freedom of thought and informed consent in alleged religious settings.
These new legal "freedom of thought and belief" precedents are currently part of many US law students' first-year constitutional law studies. To date, Lawrence Wollersheim has been the only individual to ever successfully sue, win in court, and fully collect over 9 million dollars in verdicts against the Scientology cult.
As a social advocate, Lawrence also helped win one of the largest California SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation) lawsuits against an organization that used excessive litigation tactics to unfairly financially overwhelm, harass, and intimidate an underfunded non-profit social advocacy organization. His early SLAPP legal victory and precedent have also been a powerful aid to all non-profit organizations in legal battles with big corporations, which often file meritless lawsuits designed to silence and bankrupt their less wealthy nonprofit opponents.
About 19 years ago, Factnet evolved its mission from exclusive education about coercive and unethical influence tactics to global warming and humanity's other worst global crisis.

Lawrence spent over 20 years earlier in his career as the founder and managing director of HealthKeeper Inc., a Boulder, Colorado-based software company specializing in assisting dieters, individuals with diabetes, and those with cardiovascular problems related to weight and nutrition. At HealthKeeper, Lawrence designed software and invented the NutriCode. This colored bar code enables users to easily understand a food label’s nutritional content and its impact on their daily diet goals without needing to perform any calculations.
